Trusco Nakayama Launches Skypod System at Planet Aichi Logistics Center
Trusco Nakayama has initiated operations of the Skypod picking system at its Planet Aichi facility. This move aims to enhance logistics efficiency amid labor shortages and growing e-commerce demands.

Trusco Nakayama has commenced operations of the Skypod system at its Planet Aichi logistics center, with plans to boost inventory from 630,000 to over 1 million items. The Skypod automation, developed by Exotec, utilizes robots to improve picking efficiency by reducing walking and search time as products are brought directly to workers.
This innovation addresses labor shortages in Japan's logistics sector and the increasing demand for processing small-lot orders driven by e-commerce. The introduction of the Skypod system is expected to enhance accuracy in handling various industrial supplies, contributing to better service delivery.
