Tshwane Upgrades Reima Park Secondary Substation to Enhance Electricity Supply
Tshwane has completed an upgrade of the Reima Park Secondary Substation, enhancing electricity reliability for local residents and essential services. This project, part of the Electricity Stabilisation Plan, signifies the city's commitment to modernizing infrastructure and supporting economic development.

The Reima Park Secondary Substation upgrade in Bronkhorstspruit was completed over an eight-month period from November 2025 to June 2026. The refurbishment included modernizing 11kV switchgear panels, enhancing security, and introducing advanced protection systems that improve reliability and safety.
This upgrade will prevent widespread outages by isolating faulty circuits, ensuring electricity remains available to unaffected areas. Additionally, it increases capacity for future developments, aligning with the city's growth. The project created 11 employment opportunities and contributes to local socio-economic development, thus supporting both residents and businesses.
