TTF Gas Prices Decline Amid U.S. Pressure on European LNG Regulations
The TTF gas price has decreased to below €50 per MWh following a period of price increases. This decline coincides with U.S. threats to halt oil and gas supplies to Europe over climate regulations.

As of Wednesday, the TTF gas price has dropped below €50 per megawatt-hour, marking a significant shift after recent increases. Concurrently, the U.S. has issued threats regarding oil and gas supplies to Europe, leveraging the continent's reliance on American LNG.
The current LNG imports in Europe are at a nine-month low, with competition from Asia intensifying due to increased demand for gas and LNG. The EPEX day-ahead electricity price stands at €106 per megawatt-hour, peaking at €219 in the evening. Additionally, the Rotterdam hydrogen network has been officially opened, with 32 kilometers of underground pipelines now operational.
