TU Braunschweig Launches New Systems at Battery Labfactory for Advanced Battery Technologies
TU Braunschweig's Battery Labfactory (BLB) has inaugurated three new systems focused on dry coating, solid-state electrodes, and battery recycling. This €10 million investment, funded by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space, enhances Germany's battery cell production capabilities. The new facilities contribute to a unique research infrastructure aimed at developing sustainable and high-performance battery technologies.

TU Braunschweig's Battery Labfactory (BLB) has commissioned three new production systems for battery technologies, concentrating on dry coating, solid-state electrodes, and battery recycling. Funded by approximately €10 million from the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space under the 'ForBatt' program, these facilities enhance BLB's role in battery cell production in Germany.
The new installations complete a unique research infrastructure, enabling advancements in sustainable battery technologies. TU Braunschweig, established in 2012, continues to expand its capabilities, including the upcoming Center for Circular Production of Next Batteries and Fuel Cells.
