Tungaloy Advances Sustainability with Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Initiatives

Tungaloy Corporation is advancing its Think Green initiative, focusing on renewable energy, green hydrogen, and eco-certified products. In 2025, the company expanded its renewable energy use and introduced green hydrogen in production, aiming for a 46% CO₂ reduction by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Nagoya Campus has operated on renewable electricity since 2022, while the Iwaki Headquarters generates 160 MWh annually from solar panels, reducing CO₂ emissions by 75 tons. In 2023, Iwaki switched to city gas, cutting emissions by 27%.

Tungaloy has received the Environment Grand Prize in 2024 and 2025 for its environmental efforts. All new products are evaluated for environmental impact under Japan's ECP standards, with several flagship products earning two- and three-star certifications. The company has maintained a landfill disposal rate below 1% and reduced plastic packaging by over 1.8 tons annually.
