Tykun Unveils Hydrogen-Powered H1 Boat to Address Range Limitations in Electric Boating
Tykun has developed the H1, a hydrogen-powered chase boat that offers speeds over 35 knots and a range of 60 nautical miles at cruising speeds. Utilizing a fuel cell from Toyota, the H1 can refuel in three minutes and has a battery bank for additional power. The prototype is set to launch within 6-8 months, pending a suitable partner.

Tykun's H1 chase boat addresses range limitations of electric boats by utilizing hydrogen fuel cell technology. It achieves speeds over 35 knots and a range of 60 nautical miles at cruising speeds of 20 knots.
The boat features a 70kW marinised fuel cell from Toyota and a 240kWh battery bank, allowing for quick refueling in three minutes. The H1's design optimizes weight with an aluminum hull and integrates four hydrogen tanks, holding 32kg of hydrogen at 350 BAR. Tykun aims to have the prototype operational within 6-8 months, pending partnership development, while emphasizing reliance on green hydrogen for environmental benefits.
