U-recycle Initiative Africa Launches Comic Book to Promote Circular Economy Among Students
The U-recycle Initiative Africa has launched an educational comic book, Kola & the Plastic Bottle, to empower African students in the circular economy transition. Supported by the UNIDO and the Global Environment Facility, the initiative aims to change youth perceptions of waste through behavioral science. The project complements PlasticWize 2.0, promoting sustainability on university campuses. The NGO has impacted over 25,000 young people across 11 African countries and plans to host a hackathon for eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics.
