UAE and Slovakia Strengthen Economic Ties at Joint Economic Committee Meeting

The second Joint Economic Committee (JEC) meeting between the United Arab Emirates and Slovakia took place in Bratislava, co-chaired by Fahad Al Gergawi and Vladimír Šimoňák. Discussions focused on increasing bilateral trade and investment opportunities, especially in sectors such as energy, technology, and healthcare.
Key topics included the potential to elevate non-oil trade, which stood at $812.7 million in 2025, and to explore cooperation in emerging technologies like green hydrogen and smart transportation. The modernization of the Port of Bratislava and possible direct air links to Dubai were also highlighted. A joint business forum convened alongside the JEC to foster collaboration and investment between the two nations, with representatives from both public and private sectors engaging in bilateral meetings to enhance economic relations.
