Uber Technologies has introduced Uber Air, allowing riders to book Joby Aviation's electric air taxis via the Uber app in Dubai. Joby anticipates beginning passenger flights later in 2026, with its aircraft designed for four passengers, capable of 200 mph and a range of 100 miles per charge.

Joby has completed over 50,000 miles of flight testing and is in the final stages of FAA certification. Shares of Joby increased by 6.5% following the announcement. The partnership, which has existed since 2019, aims to expand into other markets including New York, Los Angeles, the UK, and Japan.
