Uber Partners with HysetCo to Expand Hydrogen Taxi Fleet in Paris
Uber's investment in HysetCo aims to enhance hydrogen-powered taxi services in Paris, targeting zero-emission urban mobility.

Uber has invested in HysetCo via a convertible loan, marking its first financial commitment to a French entity. This partnership aims to bolster Uber's taxi services in the Paris region and facilitate the growth of hydrogen-powered taxis.
By the end of 2026, it is projected that hydrogen vehicles will represent about 20% of the fleet eligible for Uber's Business Taxi service, with nearly 2,000 units expected over five years. HysetCo drivers will have access to the Uber platform, enhancing service visibility and pricing.
Currently, HysetCo manages over 800 hydrogen vehicles in the Île-de-France region, integrating vehicle leasing, maintenance, and a hydrogen refueling network. The impact of this investment could accelerate the shift toward sustainable transportation in urban settings.
