Uisce Éireann Receives Approval for Fahan Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade
Planning approval has been granted to Uisce Éireann for the upgrade of the wastewater treatment plant in Fahan, which includes converting it into a pumping station and constructing a 6.2km rising main to connect with the Buncrana wastewater network. The Buncrana plant will also be enhanced to support a population of 17,700. Councillor Fionán Bradley highlighted the importance of the investment while expressing concerns about inadequate engagement regarding Lisfannon residents' sewerage issues.
