UJVN Invites Bids for 30 MW/75 MWh BESS at Dhakrani Hydel Project in Uttarakhand
UJVN has invited bids for a 30 MW/75 MWh battery energy storage system at the Dhakrani Hydro Electric Project in Uttarakhand. Bids are due by February 25, 2026, with openings on February 28. The project will be developed under a build-own-operate-and-transfer model and is part of a 60 MW/150 MWh storage capacity program supported by ₹1.8 million (~$19,700)/MWh funding. Estimated project cost is ₹1.71 billion (~$18.7 million).

UJVN, a Government of Uttarakhand undertaking, has invited bids for a 30 MW/75 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Dhakrani Hydro Electric Project. Bids must be submitted by February 25, 2026, and will be opened on February 28.
The project is part of a larger program totaling 60 MW/150 MWh and is supported by viability gap funding of ₹1.8 million (~$19,700)/MWh. The total estimated project cost is ₹1.71 billion (~$18.7 million). Bidders must provide an earnest deposit of ₹15 million (~$164,400) and complete the project within 18 months from the agreement signing.
