The APPG aims to assess the benefits and risks of the UK's data infrastructure, improve policy and regulation, and promote responsible growth. The UK government has prioritized data centers as critical national infrastructure, facilitating planning permissions for developments and establishing AI Growth Zones. The APPG has initiated a consultation to gather evidence from a wide range of stakeholders, including operators, investors, and environmental groups, to inform its focus areas.
