Ukraine Launches 10% Loans for Power Generation Projects Under Sustainability Plans
Starting June 1, large and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine can access loans at 10% per annum for power generation construction under the Sustainability Plans. The initiative aims to enhance energy resilience while minimizing financial strain on companies.

The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has announced a loan program for power generation facilities, effective June 1. Loans will range from EUR 1 million to EUR 25 million, with terms up to five years and a repayment deferral of 12 months until project launch.
The initiative, part of a pilot project approved on April 29, includes state compensation for interest rate differences. Eligible projects encompass gas turbine units, renewable energy facilities, and energy storage systems.
Loan applicants must not be linked to aggressor states and must comply with specific restrictions. Applications will be processed through authorized banks, selected based on competitive evaluation.
