Ukraine has showcased the Koral surface-to-air missile, enhancing its air defense capabilities. This development aligns with the country's strategic priority for mobile SAM systems with extended ranges.

Ukraine has publicly unveiled the Koral surface-to-air missile at a defense exhibition, marking its first presentation. Initially developed in 2021, the Koral missile's range was updated from 30-50 km to approximately 100 km, classifying it among long-range air defense systems.
Weighing about 300 kg with a warhead of 25 kg, it can reach speeds up to 3,600 km/h. The missile is designed to engage ballistic targets and is equipped with an Onyx active radar homing seeker. The Ministry of Defense emphasized air defense improvements as a priority for 2024, signaling the need for advanced mobile systems. The Koral's development includes international cooperation with Spain's Sener, supporting broader air defense initiatives.
