Ulsan City Proposes Five National Projects Including AI Complex and Cultural Facility
Ulsan City has proposed five national projects to President Lee Jaemyung, including the K Manufacturing Industry Sovereign AI Complex, aimed at establishing an AI data center and independent AI model. Additional initiatives focus on developing a World-Class Cultural and Entertainment Facility, an underground expressway, and restoring damaged greenbelt areas, all designed to bolster Ulsan's role in advanced industries and promote national manufacturing innovation and energy transition.

Ulsan City submitted five national-level project proposals to President Lee Jaemyung during a town hall meeting on January 23. Key proposals include the K Manufacturing Industry Sovereign AI Complex Construction Project, aimed at creating an AI data center and an independent AI model.
The city also requested support for the World-Class Cultural and Entertainment Facility, THE HALL, 1962, as part of its cultural initiatives. Additional projects involve the RE100-Dedicated Industrial Complex Development, construction of an underground expressway connecting the Ulsan National Industrial Complex, and expansion of restoration areas for damaged greenbelt zones. These initiatives are designed to enhance national manufacturing innovation and energy transition, positioning Ulsan as a pivotal hub for advanced industries like AI.
