Um Telecom Launches Atlantic Data Centers with First Facility in Recife
Um Telecom has introduced Atlantic Data Centers, initiating the construction of its first facility, Recife1, with a projected investment of R$ 300 million. The data center is set to enhance Brazil's position in the global data center market, leveraging the country's renewable energy strengths and aiming for Tier III certification.

Atlantic Data Centers, a new business unit of Um Telecom, has been launched alongside the announcement of its first data center, Recife1, located in the Parqtel technology park in Recife. The project, with an investment of R$ 300 million, will be developed in three phases, starting with a capacity of over 150 racks and 1 MW dedicated to IT equipment.
The center aims to support various sectors including technology, healthcare, and finance while addressing the growing demand for digital infrastructure in Brazil. Sustainability is a core focus, with part of its energy sourced from a solar power plant owned by Um Telecom. The facility is designed to align with global data center trends, where energy consumption is expected to rise significantly.
