Unidata and Azimut Libera Impressa Launch 20 MW Data Center in Rome
Unidata and Azimut Libera Impressa are establishing a joint venture to create a Tier IV data center in Rome with a capacity of 20 megawatts. The project will serve wholesale customers both domestically and internationally, with a total initial investment of €57 million.

Unidata and Azimut Libera Impressa have formed a joint venture named Unicenter to construct a Tier IV data center in Rome, requiring an investment of €57 million. Unidata will hold 25% of the venture while Azimut will own 75%.
The data center will feature over 2,000 racks across 3,000 square meters, powered by green energy. This facility will cater to wholesale clients and will operate independently of Unidata's existing services in Rome and Milan.
Unidata will manage the operations of Unicenter, enabling services with a capacity exceeding 30 kilowatts. This expansion highlights a growing demand for data center services in Italy, potentially increasing competition in the telecommunications sector.
