Unique World Robotics Becomes Largest Organizer of NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025

Unique World Robotics (UWR), an education technology startup based in Kerala, has been designated the largest global organizer of the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025, the largest hackathon focusing on space and earth science innovations. UWR organized 22 regional events across India, UAE, and Europe in 2025, with 16 events in India, including eight in Kerala.

The initiative saw 15,308 registrations and 2,276 teams, accounting for 13.42% of global registrations and 13.5% of teams. Notably, two teams from Kerala reached the top 45 global finalists, competing against 16,860 teams worldwide.

UWR collaborated with several partners, including KSUM and Kerala Space Park, to facilitate the challenge at multiple venues across Kerala. The event aims to connect local talent with the international space sector, significantly increasing participation from Kerala since its inception.
