Unison Energy will finance, build, own, and operate a microgrid for the Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center under a 20-year Energy-as-a-Service agreement. The microgrid will supply nearly all of the resort's electric load, utilizing exhaust heat to produce hot water and reduce boiler use.
The project is expected to create 7,000 construction jobs and support thousands of permanent positions, with a projected economic impact of nearly $500 million annually for the region.
