Unison Energy Partners with RIDA Chula Vista for Microgrid at Gaylord Pacific Resort
Unison Energy has signed a 20-year Energy-as-a-Service agreement with RIDA Chula Vista, LLC to develop a microgrid for the Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center. This project aims to significantly cut energy costs and enhance reliability for California's largest hotel and convention center.

Unison Energy will finance, build, own, and operate a microgrid for the Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center under a 20-year Energy-as-a-Service agreement. The microgrid will supply nearly all of the resort's electric load, utilizing exhaust heat to produce hot water and reduce boiler use.
The project is expected to create 7,000 construction jobs and support thousands of permanent positions, with a projected economic impact of nearly $500 million annually for the region. Unison qualifies for a 30% Investment Tax Credit and a 10% Energy Community bonus credit, facilitating lower energy rates for the resort. This development marks the third microgrid at a Gaylord property.
