University of Stuttgart Inaugurates WAVE-H2 Research Platform for Hydrogen Technologies

HYDROGEN

The University of Stuttgart inaugurated the WAVE-H2 Campus in Vaihingen to advance hydrogen technologies for industry, mobility, and energy systems. The platform focuses on the entire hydrogen value chain, with research sites in Stuttgart-Vaihingen and Freudenstadt, the latter expected to become operational in summer 2026.

The initiative, funded with approximately 36 million euros by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, aims to support industrial decarbonization and innovative hydrogen solutions. Collaborations include the Stuttgart research initiative CHEMampere for sustainable chemical production.
