Unseenlabs to Launch BRO-19 Satellite for Maritime Surveillance via SpaceX Falcon 9
Unseenlabs will launch BRO-19, its twentieth satellite, to enhance maritime domain awareness as part of the Transporter-16 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The satellite, integrated with SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket by Exolaunch, will detect radio frequency signals from vessels, supporting geolocation of ships not visible through traditional tracking systems. This capability is essential for identifying illegal maritime activities. Notable clients include S&P Global and the European Space Agency.

Unseenlabs is set to launch BRO-19, its twentieth satellite for maritime domain awareness, as part of the Transporter-16 rideshare mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The satellite will be launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, integrated by German launch provider Exolaunch.
BRO-19 will utilize radio frequency (RF) technology to detect signals from vessels, enabling geolocation of ships that are not visible through traditional Automatic Identification Systems (AIS). This capability is critical for tracking illegal activities at sea.
The addition of BRO-19 will enhance Unseenlabs' monitoring capabilities and provide valuable data to clients, including government agencies and private sector stakeholders such as S&P Global and the European Space Agency (ESA). Unseenlabs' unique monosatellite approach allows each satellite to operate independently, increasing system agility.
