UPC Volt to Develop 100MW Data Center in Telangana, India with $544M Investment
UPC Volt has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Telangana government to develop a 100MW data center, with an investment of Rs 50 billion ($544 million) slated for completion in five years. This joint venture between UPC Renewables and Volt highlights the growing interest in data center infrastructure in India, alongside similar agreements by Digital Connexion and ST Telemedia in other states.

UPC Volt signed a memorandum of understanding with the Telangana government to develop a 100MW data center, requiring an investment of Rs 50 billion ($544 million) and planned for completion in five years. UPC Volt is a joint venture between UPC Renewables and Volt.
Additionally, Digital Connexion has an agreement for a 1GW data center in Andhra Pradesh, while ST Telemedia signed an agreement for data center expansion in Maharashtra. AWS and Microsoft are also expanding in the region.
