UPV Installs Wave Generator to Simulate Tsunamis; Acciona Sells Hydro Plants to Endesa for €1 Billion

The University of the Basque Country has installed a 25-meter wave generator to simulate various wave sizes for testing renewable marine energy systems. Acciona has completed the sale of 34 hydroelectric plants, totaling 626 megawatts, to Endesa for approximately €1 billion, following necessary administrative approvals.

Gran Canaria's president proposes integrating the Las Niñas dam into the Salto de Chira hydroelectric complex for enhanced energy storage. Elawan Energy secures financing for 23 hydroelectric mini-plants in northern Spain, valued at €76 million.
