U.S. Air Force Seeks Solutions for Tracking and Eliminating Small Drones
The U.S. Air Force issued two Requests for Information through the Point Defense Battle Lab to enhance defenses against small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS). The first RFI focuses on tracking Group 1 drones at ranges up to 2 km and Group 2 and 3 drones at shorter ranges. The second RFI requests ideas for offensive attack drones. Both RFIs have a submission deadline of April 30.

The U.S. Air Force is seeking industry proposals to improve defenses against small drones, issuing two Requests for Information (RFIs) via the Point Defense Battle Lab. The first RFI aims to develop systems to track Group 1 drones within 2 km and Group 2 and 3 drones at shorter ranges.
It specifies the need for 'rapidly deployable' systems requiring a team of four or fewer to set up within two hours. The second RFI requests concepts for one-way attack drones. Submissions for both RFIs are due by April 30.
