STRATEGIC MINERALS
The Trump administration faces a 2 p.m. deadline to report to the U.S. Court of International Trade on its tariff refund plan. Customs and Border Protection aims to start issuing refunds by late April after collecting approximately $166 billion in tariffs.
Concurrently, over 60 lawmakers are urging the administration to secure market access for U.S. potatoes from Japan during the visit of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. Additionally, the U.S. is preparing a trade agreement with Japan and the EU regarding critical minerals, with negotiations set to begin in April, following Beijing's export controls.
