US Motor Works Implements Solar Microgrid for Energy Independence
US Motor Works has deployed a solar and battery storage microgrid, achieving 100% energy self-sufficiency at its facility. This system reduces reliance on the traditional power grid, lowers operational costs, and enhances sustainability efforts.

US Motor Works has successfully implemented a microgrid system featuring a 220 kW solar photovoltaic array and 408 kWh of battery storage. The system meets 100% of the facility's energy needs and delivers up to 12 hours of power during peak demand, avoiding high utility charges.
As solar production increases in the summer, further performance improvements are expected, enhancing savings on utility costs. This initiative underscores USMW's commitment to sustainability and energy independence, potentially setting a precedent in energy-efficient manufacturing practices.
