U.S. Strengthens Ties with Morocco at GITEX Africa 2026
The United States reaffirmed its strategic partnership with Morocco during GITEX Africa 2026, emphasizing investment in digital transformation and technology. Major U.S. companies are engaged in Morocco, enhancing its digital infrastructure and sovereignty.

The United States participated in GITEX Africa 2026, highlighting its commitment to Morocco's digital transformation. U.S. investment spans from Tangier to Dakhla, reflecting confidence in Morocco's potential.
Concurrently, Morocco's Minister for Digital Transition announced plans for Igouda, Africa's largest data center in Dakhla, expected to reach 500 megawatts by 2030 and powered by renewable energy. Inwi also launched Morocco's first private 5G network for industrial use, a collaboration with China Mobile International.
This deployment aims to enhance connectivity and automation in one of Africa's largest factories. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to establish Morocco as a digital leader in Africa.
