The US$8.14 million, 3MWp Charity Solar Farm has been commissioned in Region Two, Guyana, set to benefit over 3,000 residents by reducing power outages and cutting fossil-fuel generation costs by GY$267 million annually. It will generate approximately 4,600MWh of power and offset nearly 3,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, supported by a 2.25MW battery storage system.

The project, part of the Guyana Utility-Scale Solar Photovoltaic Programme (GUYSOL), aims to deliver 33MW of solar power across multiple regions, utilizing US$83.8 million from the Guyana-Norway Partnership. The solar farm includes 4,928 solar modules and enhances grid stability with a new transmission line. The project aligns with Guyana's Low Carbon Development Strategy 2030 and aims to foster economic growth and energy security.
