USA Rail Terminals Launches New Terminal in Monroe, Louisiana for Meta's Data Center

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

USA Rail Terminals has begun operations at a new rail terminal in Monroe, Louisiana, to enhance rail-to-truck logistics for Meta's Richland Parish Data Center in Holly Ridge. The terminal is designed for high-volume movements of aggregate and construction materials, capable of handling 90-car unit trains and served by Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Railway.

Meta's data center will occupy 4 million square feet across 2,000 acres and represents a multi-billion-dollar investment in AI infrastructure. Construction is anticipated to last through the decade, creating thousands of jobs and supporting hundreds of permanent positions. Meta plans to use 100% clean energy for the facility and invest in local infrastructure improvements.
