Utah Awards Tax Incentives for Two Major Expansion Projects
The Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity has awarded incentives to Creekstone Energy and Karman Space & Defense, projected to generate 206 jobs and significant capital investment. This initiative supports the state's economic growth in energy, technology, and aerospace sectors over the next two decades.

Creekstone Energy, LLC is set to invest over $17 billion in its 'Creekstone Gigasite' near Delta, aiming to create 106 jobs with a capacity of 10 gigawatts for an AI-optimized data center. Karman Space & Defense will invest approximately $28.5 million in a new facility in West Valley City, generating 100 jobs focused on UAS launcher and nozzle production.
The combined projects are estimated to generate nearly $407 million in new state tax revenue over 20 years, enhancing Utah's economic resilience and technological leadership. The expansion of these facilities aligns with Utah's strategic emphasis on attracting transformative projects across innovative sectors.
