Uttar Pradesh Initiates Key Economic Projects: AI Data Center, Rural Internet, and Wheat Processing Reforms
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed three pivotal projects aimed at boosting the state's economy: the Uttar Pradesh Data Center Cluster (UPDCC) for AI infrastructure, Project Ganga for rural broadband, and reforms in mandi fees to enhance wheat processing. These initiatives are set to create significant employment opportunities and position Uttar Pradesh as a leader in AI and digital services.

Uttar Pradesh's Data Center Cluster (UPDCC) aims to establish the state as a key player in AI and cloud infrastructure, targeting a $5 trillion economy and 1.5 million jobs by 2040. Concurrently, Project Ganga seeks to implement high-speed broadband in rural areas, aiming to connect 2 million households and develop over 10,000 Digital Service Providers (DSPs), potentially creating 50,000 direct jobs.
Wheat processing reforms focus on enhancing local processing capabilities to prevent grain export and retain economic benefits within the state. Current wheat production stands at 372 lakh metric tonnes, yet processing remains underutilized, indicating significant room for growth in local industries.
