Uttar Pradesh Secures ₹8,000 Crore for Clean Energy and Other Investments at World Economic Forum 2026
Uttar Pradesh secured investment commitments of ₹9,750 crore at the World Economic Forum 2026, including ₹8,000 crore for clean energy initiatives. The state plans to develop 500 MW of agriculture waste-to-energy capacity through a partnership with SAEL Industries Ltd and has signed an agreement with Sify Technologies for an AI-ready data center in Noida. Additionally, a ₹150 crore deal with Yeoman aims to bolster indigenous defense manufacturing capabilities.

Uttar Pradesh announced investment commitments totaling ₹9,750 crore at the World Economic Forum 2026, including ₹8,000 crore for clean energy, ₹1,600 crore for an AI-ready data center, and ₹150 crore for defense manufacturing. The state signed a memorandum of understanding with SAEL Industries Ltd to develop 500 MW of agriculture waste-to-energy capacity, establishing 20 biomass power plants in 16 paddy-growing districts.
Additionally, Uttar Pradesh partnered with Sify Technologies for the creation of an AI-ready data center in Noida, which will utilize renewable energy. The defense sector saw an agreement with Yeoman for ₹150 crore focused on weapons system integration and manufacturing, aiming to enhance indigenous defense capabilities.
