The Vale of Glamorgan Council has reopened the Switch Together scheme, aimed at providing homeowners with green energy upgrades. In partnership with Cardiff Capital Region and other local councils, the scheme, previously known as Solar Together, has helped 109 households to install solar panels and reduce energy costs.

The project aligns with Welsh Government goals for carbon neutrality by 2050. Following its initial success, the re-launched scheme now includes battery storage, electric vehicle chargers, and smart energy tariffs. Registration is free and all installations come with insurance-backed guarantees.
