ValOre Initiates Phase II Metallurgical Testwork for Pedra Branca PGE Project in Brazil with University of Cape Town
ValOre Metals Corp. has commenced Phase II metallurgical testwork for its Pedra Branca PGE project in northeastern Brazil, partnering with the University of Cape Town. This phase focuses on scaling up a bioleaching process and evaluating heap leaching scenarios, aiming for a Preliminary Economic Assessment by the end of 2026. Initial Phase I results indicated potential palladium and platinum recoveries of 70-80%, while weathered material showed low recoveries. The project hosts an inferred resource of 2.2 million ounces of 2PGE+Au grading 1.08 g/t.

ValOre Metals Corp. has started Phase II metallurgical testwork for its Pedra Branca Platinum Group Elements project in Brazil, following board approval. Conducted in partnership with the University of Cape Town, the testwork supports a Preliminary Economic Assessment expected by the end of 2026.
It focuses on scaling a bioleaching process, assessing heap leaching feasibility, and advancing flotation and leaching testwork for fresh rock. Phase I results indicated 70-80% recoveries for fresh material, while weathered material showed low recoveries. The project covers 51,096 hectares and has an inferred mineral resource of 2.2 million ounces of 2PGE+Au grading 1.08 g/t.
