Vanguard Receives Funding for Hydrogen HydroShunter; Network Rail Contracts Colas Rail UK
Vanguard Sustainable Transport Solutions received funding from the UK's Connected Places Catapult to demonstrate its HydroShunter, a hydrogen fuel cell and battery-powered vehicle. Network Rail awarded Colas Rail UK a contract for 'Thunderbird' locomotives for train rescue operations on the East Coast Main Line, starting January 2026.
