Vattenfall and CIP Award TKF Cable Contract for Zeevonk Offshore Wind Project
TKF has been contracted by Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners for the supply of 162 km of inter-array cables for the Zeevonk offshore wind project. The project aims to deliver 1 GW of wind capacity by 2029, with a second phase planned for 2032.

Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have awarded TKF the contract for the supply of inter-array cables for phase 1 of the Zeevonk offshore wind project, covering approximately 162 kilometers. TKF will handle the design, engineering, production, testing, and project management of the 66 kV cables, emphasizing sustainable design by utilizing low CO₂ aluminum, recycled steel, and a bitumen-free design.
The Zeevonk project, located 63 to 84 kilometers off the Dutch coast, spans 650 km² and is set to deliver 1 GW of capacity by 2029, with a second phase adding another 1 GW and 500 MW of integration capacity by 2032. This sustainable focus enhances the project’s competitiveness in tender processes and aligns with industry trends towards circular economy practices.
