Vayona Energy has appointed Pritesh Vinay as its new CEO, effective January 5, 2026. This appointment follows Vayona's establishment as an independent company after acquiring Siemens Gamesa's onshore wind business in India and Sri Lanka in December 2024, led by TPG and MAVCO.
Vayona Energy aims to accelerate its growth strategy focused on scale, capital efficiency, and customer-centric innovation in India's evolving wind sector, which has a market share of nearly 20%. The company has around 1,000 employees and over 12 GW in operational and development assets.
Pritesh Vinay has a background with JSW Group, Goldman Sachs, and others, which positions him well to lead Vayona through its next growth phase. Vayona is backed by TPG, MAVCO, and continues its collaboration with Siemens Energy.
