VBX Limited Expands DFS Scope for Wuudagu Bauxite Project to Enhance Mining Rate and Recoveries

STRATEGIC MINERALS

VBX Limited has expanded the definitive feasibility study (DFS) for its Wuudagu bauxite project in northern Western Australia, increasing the mining rate from 6 million tonnes per annum to 8-9 million tonnes per annum. This change follows a 51% increase in the mineral resource to 95.8 million tonnes, with additional resource modeling ongoing.

Metallurgical tests have achieved product mass recoveries of up to 73% at +3.35 mm and 80% at +1 mm screen sizes. A distributed bore field will serve as a lower-cost water solution, replacing a seawater desalination plant, expected to reduce capital and operating costs.

VBX is targeting DFS completion in the first half of 2026 and has secured $2 million in unsecured loan notes to fund the expanded scope. The company is also in discussions with a global investment bank to finalize funding and offtake agreements, driven by interest from aluminium industry participants.
