VBX Limited Secures Approval for Wuudagu Bauxite Project Modifications
VBX Limited has received necessary approvals to alter the development plan for its Wuudagu bauxite project in Australia. The modifications aim to reduce environmental impacts while increasing mining capacity.

VBX Limited has secured approvals from the Western Australian EPA and the Australian Government for modifications to its Wuudagu bauxite project. The update to the development plan decreases the project footprint by approximately 10% to 1,775 hectares and raises mining and beneficiation targets to 9 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa).
Key alterations include relocating the beneficiation plant inland from Guy Point to mitigate coastal impacts, implementing narrower haul roads, and establishing a distributed bore field with an optional desalination plant. These changes are designed to enhance environmental stewardship while optimizing project efficiency.
