Veneto Focuses on Aerospace Innovation to Attract Investments and Businesses

SPACE ECONOMY

Regional Councillor Massimo Bitonci and Federico Zoppas, president of the Regional Innovative Network AIR, met to discuss enhancing the attractiveness of Veneto for aerospace investments and businesses. They outlined a collaboration aimed at fostering innovation and the 'economy of the future.'

Bitonci emphasized the need for a clear regulatory framework for aerospace activities, which will include authorizations, oversight rules, and promotional tools for operators and companies, effective from June 2025. The region is committed to supporting the Space Meetings Veneto 2026 and the organization of the Investment Forum in Venice. Plans for regional and European funding to promote internationalization, particularly for SMEs, are also under consideration, as the space economy is seen as a high-value sector for developing skills and enhancing the presence of companies in international markets.
