Verne has begun construction on its data center campus in Mäntsälä, Finland, targeting an initial capacity of 70MW. This project follows the company's 2024 announcement to develop on a 10-hectare site and aligns with growing demand for data services.
Verne entered the Finnish market in 2022 through the acquisition of Ficolo and previously sold specific sites to Glesys. This new investment is expected to provide opportunities for local businesses and suppliers, leveraging the area's energy infrastructure. Verne, originally an Icelandic firm, has undergone multiple acquisitions and now is also developing a site in France.
