Vestas Secures 92 Turbine Order for RWE's 1.38GW Vanguard East Offshore Wind Project in the UK
Vestas has received an order from RWE to supply 92 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the 1.38GW Vanguard East offshore wind project in the UK. The project is part of the Norfolk offshore wind zone and is expected to begin turbine deliveries in late 2028, with full commissioning anticipated in 2030. RWE plans to make a final investment decision this summer. The project underscores the UK's commitment to expanding offshore wind capacity following a successful allocation round that secured 8.4GW of new projects.

Vestas has been awarded a contract by RWE to supply 92 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the 1.38GW Vanguard East offshore wind project located off Norfolk, UK. This order follows Vestas's earlier agreement with RWE for the Vanguard West project.
The turbines are scheduled for delivery starting in late 2028, with commissioning expected in 2030. RWE plans to finalize its investment decision in summer 2026, and the project is part of a larger investment strategy that includes securing revenue support through Contracts for Difference (CfDs), which aim to bolster the UK's offshore wind capacity.
