VFlowTech Targets Over $220 Million Revenue by 2029 with VRFB Manufacturing Expansion in India

VFlowTech, based in Singapore, aims to exceed $220 million in revenue by 2029 through the development of vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs) for renewable energy storage. The company focuses on localizing the vanadium supply chain in India, including extracting and recycling vanadium from petroleum waste.

VFlowTech plans to establish a 100 MWh production facility as a precursor to a Gigafactory capable of 1 GWh production annually. Its strategy includes partnerships with local firms, technology transfer, and supply-chain integration.

Challenges for integrating renewable energy in India include mismatches in generation and demand, regulatory frameworks favoring short-duration storage, and reliance on fossil fuels. VFlowTech's VRFBs can provide long-duration storage, addressing these challenges and supporting India's decarbonization goals by reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The company's AI-driven energy management platform enhances the efficiency of its battery systems.
