Viet Nam and Norway Establish Green Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Development
On April 17, Viet Nam and Norway signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in green development and the marine economy. This partnership aims to support sustainable initiatives and bolster trade relations, aligning with Viet Nam's green growth objectives and Norway's expertise in climate action.

Viet Nam's Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Le Cong Thanh, and Norwegian Ambassador Hilde Solbakken signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a Green Strategic Partnership on April 17. The agreement establishes a framework for long-term collaboration in green and marine economies, prioritizing areas such as climate, circular economy, sustainable fisheries, and resource management.
It aims to facilitate policy dialogue and technical cooperation, contributing to the goals set by the Paris Agreement. Furthermore, ongoing negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement with EFTA nations are expected to enhance trade relations, supporting the partnership's objectives. The collaboration emphasizes the role of the private sector in fostering sustainable transitions, promoting green investments, and sharing innovations.
