Vietnam Advances AI Ecosystem Following Policy Implementation
After 18 months of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW, Vietnam is rapidly developing its AI capabilities as a strategic priority. This shift enhances national competitiveness by establishing a robust framework for AI and digital transformation.

Vietnam's Resolution 57-NQ/TW has catalyzed significant advancements in AI, establishing it as a strategic technology. The government has enacted laws and policies promoting AI and digital transformation, aiming for Vietnam to rank among the top three Southeast Asian nations in AI research and development by 2030.
Key initiatives include the introduction of a nationwide AI evaluation criterion and the establishment of an AI development fund. Collaborations with technology firms such as FPT and CMC are enhancing local capabilities.
However, challenges remain, including inconsistent application, quality of data, and the need for robust AI infrastructure and skilled personnel. The success of AI initiatives will shape Vietnam's economic growth and global competitiveness.
