Vikram Solar Reaches 10 GW in Global Solar Module Deployments
Vikram Solar has achieved a cumulative deployment of 10 GW in solar modules globally, enough to power over 5 million homes in India. This milestone demonstrates the company’s rapid growth and expanding influence in the solar industry, reflecting a surge in demand and a commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Vikram Solar has announced that it has surpassed 10 GW in global solar module deployments, doubling its previous total of 5 GW in just two years. This deployment, equivalent to over 25 million solar modules, can power more than 5 million households in India.
The company has established approximately 9.5 GW of manufacturing capacity in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, including a notable 5 GW facility in Vallam. Additionally, Vikram Solar has exported around 1.5 GW of modules across 39 countries, enhancing its international footprint.
Plans include expanding the Gangaikondan site to 6 GW of module and 12 GW of cell capacity, while also entering the energy storage market with a 5 GWh battery facility by FY27 under VSL Powerhive. This growth positions Vikram Solar as a significant player in the global clean energy sector, reflecting the broader trends in solar energy adoption.
