Vineland City Council Approves PILOT Agreements for Data Center and Golf Course
Vineland City Council approved five-year PILOT agreements for DataOne Vineland LLC and TN Reserve LLC, the latter co-owned by baseball star Mike Trout, providing property tax relief that allows gradual increases in tax payments. DataOne's data center, valued at $19.6 million, opened in 2024, while TN Reserve, valued at $8.9 million, is set to open this spring. The agreements exempt the companies from property taxes in the first year, with payments rising by 20% annually thereafter, despite some residents expressing concerns during a public hearing.

Vineland City Council approved five-year property tax relief agreements known as PILOTs for DataOne Vineland LLC and TN Reserve LLC, a golf course co-owned by baseball star Mike Trout. The agreements allow the companies to gradually increase tax payments over time.
DataOne opened its data center at 3963 S. Lincoln Ave. in 2024, while TN Reserve, located at 1800 Mays Landing Road, is set to officially open this spring. The PILOT agreements exempt the companies from property taxes for the first year, with payments increasing by 20% annually until reaching full tax payments.
DataOne's property has a total tax valuation of $19,636,200, and TN Reserve's total valuation is $8,883,000. The council's vote followed a public hearing where residents expressed concerns about the need for special treatment for DataOne, despite the company already paying significant taxes.
