VINENERGO Approved for VND 48.4 Trillion Hon Trau Wind Power Project in Gia Lai
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has approved VINENERGO Energy JSC to develop the 750 MW Hon Trau Wind Power Plant project, with an investment of nearly VND 48.4 trillion. This project, approved under Decision No. 464 on February 3, 2026, will produce approximately 2.8 billion kWh annually and connect to the national grid at 220 kV.
The project comprises two areas: HT 1A, with offshore installations in Phu My district, and HT 1B in Phu Cat district, including connections through the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. It will utilize 32.01 hectares of sea surface and 17.61 hectares of land. Expected completion is set for the fourth quarter of 2029, contributing to energy security, local budget revenues, job creation, and socio-economic development.
