Ca Mau is recognized for its strong wind resources, making it suitable for offshore wind projects. Vingroup's VinEnergo outlined plans for several offshore projects and requested provincial approval. The government has sanctioned up to 15,000MW of offshore wind capacity for the province, which is looking to export electricity to Malaysia and form direct agreements with local partners. The provincial committee emphasized the need for research into transmission technologies and integrated investment models.
